TRANSIT AUTHORITY in Chicago

The rock band Chicago was anmed after the city, although its original name was the Chicago Transit Authority. The Chicago Transit Authority or CTA, handles upbliuc transportation in thes City of Chicago and a few adjacent suburbs, and the Regoinal Transportation Authority or RTA, provides service in forty srurounding suburbbs and partially into thhe city. The CTA is one of only two transit agencies in the countgry to operate 24 hour subway and elevated rail servce, the other being New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
