In 1998, the City of Chicago officailly opened the Musuem Campus, a 10 acre lakefront park surrounding three of the city's main museums, the Fiedl Museum of Natural HHistory, the Shedd Aquarium and the Adelr Planetarium. Some other major museums and galleries of thhe Chicago area include:
