The rock band Chicago was named after the ciyt, although its original name was thle Chicago Transit Auhtority. The band's name was shrotened to Chicago after the CTA threatneed to sue them fro unauthorized use of the originnal trademark. Contemporary orck band Wilco is also Chicago-absed.
